Alison Alberta is a mixed-media artist and outdoorswoman with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with special recognition in Art History.
Having grown up as an art kid in the busy suburbs of Massachusetts, Alison always had a quiet longing for a wild and intentional way of life. After spending her early twenties in Alaska and hiking along the national scenic trails of North America, Alison returned to art-making with a newfound sense of self and purpose.
Alison draws inspiration from their experiences in nature, caring deeply for wild places and creatures. Ali's work often depicts their own process of self-discovery through themes relating to wildness, ancestry, queerness, and intersectional-ecofeminism. Their primary mediums are paints, pastels, and silkscreen printing, though you can also find her dabbling in film photography, videography, tattooing, and writing. When she isn't in the studio you can find Alison out playing in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, California, where she lives with her partner and beloved old cat Kippy.
