LESSON PLANS

"Through an arts education, students form deeper understandings of themselves and how they relate to others and the world, in turn strengthening their personal sense of identity"

COMMUNITY QUILT

Students will create individual quilt squares that are reflective of classroom discussions about race and equity. The squares will then be sewn together to create a large quilt/tapestry to be displayed in the school throughout the year.

DISCOVERY JOURNAL

Students will create a handmade journal that will be used throughout the year for nature discoveries and drawings. This activity will help foster a connection to nature and sense of place.
